I was born in Tehran, raised between Germany and Southern California, and have lived in Las Vegas since I was seventeen. My father was an auto mechanic who rebuilt his business twice on two continents. That story shaped how I think about work.

I started in real estate at twenty-two, coordinating transactions to put myself through college. I had been on a science track at UNLV, headed for dental school. The numbers in that path looked predictable; the numbers in real estate didn’t. I followed the harder one.

Twenty years later, I’ve funded over $700 million in mortgage volume and built a small group of family-operated companies under Romik Group. The thread between them is simple: take care of the customer the way you’d take care of a friend, run lean, and stay close to the work.

What I believe

The customers I’ve served the longest didn’t come back because of rates. Rates change every Tuesday. They came back because somebody picked up the phone, told them the truth, and didn’t hand them off. That’s the entire business in one sentence.

I believe small, owner-operated companies still beat big ones at the things that matter most to the customer: speed, judgment, and accountability. A boutique brokerage can structure a loan a call center will never see. A local shop can fix your car the way it would fix its own. Scale is useful. Care is decisive.

I believe in hiring people you’d trust with your house keys before you trust them with your customers. The team at Lending Arena includes my brother and the people we grew up around. That isn’t nepotism — it’s the long version of accountability. When the name on the door is also the name on the family, nobody phones it in.

I believe the work outlasts the deal. A loan closes in 30 days. A relationship lasts 30 years. We optimize for the second number.
